CAREER ASSESSMENT

Discover your true potential — and the career that fits you best

Every great career journey starts with understanding what you're good at, what inspires you, and what kind of work can sustain your goals and lifestyle. Whether you’re just starting out, returning to the workforce, or planning your next step, these tools will help you find direction, set goals, and connect to opportunities that fit your unique strengths.

Take the career assessment quiz

Before exploring specific industries, take a few minutes to learn more about yourself.

The Career Quiz at CareerBridge.wa.gov is a free, easy-to-use tool that helps you identify your skills, interests, and personality traits—and shows which careers might be a good fit for you. Once you finish, you’ll see how your strengths align with different types of work. This is a great first step toward exploring our region’s six high-demand industries.

Use the self sufficiency calculator

Finding a career that fits your strengths is important—but so is finding one that supports your life and family. The Self-Sufficiency Calculator, created by Workforce Development Councils across Washington, helps you estimate the income you need to cover basic living costs like housing, transportation, childcare, and healthcare. By combining what you’ve learned from your career assessment with the insights from the calculator, you can set realistic goals for wages, training, and long-term stability.

Explore career pathways

Now that you know your strengths and what you need to thrive, explore the industries that power our region. Each of these sectors offers in-demand jobs, career growth, and pathways to economic stability. Each sector page highlights the kinds of jobs available, the skills that are most in demand, and local employers and training opportunities to help you get started.

You don’t have to figure it out alone
